Chair: Eric Hopkins This eight-month program is delivered free of charge each year to at least 45 high school juniors in Palm Beach County. Each high school Principal may nominate up to two students to represent his/her school. All students interested in participating are invited to contact their schools during the summer preceding their Junior year to submit their name for consideration as one of their school's nominees. Selection decisions are finalized by late August of the summer preceding the start of the program. All Palm Beach County schools are eligible to participate in the program. The Class of 2010's graduation ceremony was held on May 18, 2010 at The President Country Club of West Palm Beach. After sponsors and volunteers were recognized and dinner was served, Rick Caldwell took the stage as the keynote speaker. Towards the end of the evening, YLPBC Chair Eric Hopkins and Michele DeLong presented scholarships ranging from $1,000-$1,500 to six deserving students. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Hopkins presented the Class of 2010 with their certificates and thanked them for a wonderful year. It was a fun and exciting night for the YOUTH Leaders to reminisce about the past year and thank those who made it possible. |
