2018 Leadership Excellence Awards Winners Announced

Awards presented by Leadership Palm Beach County Celebrate Community Change Makers

(WEST PALM BEACH, FL) April 16, 2018 – Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC) has announced the winners of the 2018 Leadership Excellence Awards (LEA). The awards recognize exceptional LPBC alumni who have made significant contributions to improve our community. There are four awards total; three LEAs are given to individuals in the private, public and non-profit sectors. The president of LPBC, which is currently Charles Frazier, chooses a sole recipient for the President’s Award.

The recipient of the President’s Award is Eric Hopkins, Sr. Vice President of Hundley Farms.

“The first LEA was awarded in 2005 with the purpose to recognize exceptional LPBC graduates who have made notable contributions for the betterment of their communities, and who exude qualities of leadership such as sincerity, compassion, credibility, fairness, humility and empowerment,” explains Charles Frazier, President of LPBC. “We now award four exceptional individuals each year, and this year’s recipients truly represent the best of our community.”

The awards will be presented at the Leadership Celebration on June 7 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, presented by Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Leadership Palm Beach County, Inc., is an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to foster awareness of community issues and promote efficient communication and cooperative relationships between existing and emerging community leaders. LPBC’s stated mission is to educate and unite leaders to build a better community. Initiated in 1983 through a collaborative effort of the local Chambers of Commerce, LPBC has prepared more than 1,700 graduates for enhanced community leadership roles.
